As a former child of color, I definitely noticed when I wasn’t included.
I definitely wanted to see the things with somebody like me in it, things where I wasn’t invisible. And I was desperate for movies where I was a main character with focus and lines, maybe even a family and future. You wouldn’t know because you were never in our specific shoes. We’re speaking from our experiences not your debunked color-blind theories.
